Many people ask, is Frostproof a real place? Yes, it sure is! Situated between two pristine lakes, Frostproof is a small town in the heart of Florida Citrus country, located about 1.5 hours east of Tampa. Originally called Keystone Heights, Frostproof got its name in 1886 when Joseph Washington Carson changed it to convince potential landowners that there would never be a freeze that could destroy the citrus-driven economy. And while the town did have a devastating freeze eight years later, the name stuck and has remained ever since.

Since 1985, we've specialized in supplying home gardeners and commercial growers with top quality garden products at the lowest prices.
